Fion decided his first trip on discovering the secrets of the Hoenn region with a desert he had heard was the home to some ruins possibly the home or at least a hint at where the pokemon Regirock maybe be slumbering. He started by preparing in Mauville he made sure to make the proper preparations by picking up some length of rope a lantern a pair of goggles to block out the sand incase of a sandstorm and a decent amount of provisions to last a few days. He was all set time for the hunt of Regirock to begin it didn't take him too long to find the desert thanks to his trusty town map and he decided to begin exploring trying to find some ruins.


and he soon found a suspicious cave and decided it'd be a good spot to check out he lit his lantern and let out his Gible out the company would be nice and it'd make his safer if any wild pokemon decided to ambush him besides he wanted to work towards Gible evolving into a Gabite  would help alot in battles especially if he wants to battle a rock type like Regirock. 

Anyway he began to explore hoping to find something though he'd soon find something unexpected.

Fion was looking around and saw some old walls that looked like they might belong to some ruins so maybe he was on to the right track? He would have to keep looking around in the cave and see what happens who knows might find something cool.

It wasn't too long however until he could feel Ryuu tugging at his pants trying to get his attention and he could hear some man asking if he was stuck down here too. Fion turned around and with a puzzled expression began to talk to the man. " What do you mean lost too did you fall in or something? I came here to explore these ruins myself. "

He then could hear aggressive barking coming the other direction towards the entrance which promptly caused him to turn and look and it was a Rockruff it seemed agitated too maybe it was just aggressive? 

Regardless he wasn't sure but he could see it lunging towards him so he had no choice but to battle and he quickly got Ryuu into action. " Ryuu use bulldoze to try and take out the Rockruff. " the move seemed to smack it decently but a bad after effect happened the bulldoze was a little too strong and the cave entrance quickly caved in causing a new problem finding a way out. " Damnit was hoping that wouldn't happen gonna have to find a new exit now... "

Soon Fion could see Ryuu get knocked back and took a small abit of damage must have been tackled by the Rockruff he'd have to respond so he got Ryuu to attack one more time. " Ryuu use sand tomb to try and immobilize the Rockruff " with that said it hit and the Rockruff was surrounded by a whirlwind of sand and rocks slowly whittling down it stamina.
